    Before leaving home, e-mail a copy of the above to yourself at apassword-secure e-mail address that’s easily accessible from an internet cafe (hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc.) In case everything is lost, you can retrieve account numbers and passport info., print them, and accomplish the tasks.

    Add your phone’s serial number to this list. Plus the unique iemi number (International Mobile Equipment Identity) so the phone can be blocked.in the event it is stolen.

  • You’re absolutely right, Susan, considering my recent post, Barcelona police prevent theft-report filings. Although at the moment, I only know this to be necessary in Barcelona. I will be researching this further!
